US’ crude steel output in week ending Jul 6 decreases

According to data from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending on July 6, the US’ production of crude steel was around 1.7 million net tons, decreasing by 1.5% week on week and slightly dropping by 0.1% year on year. During the period, the capacity utilization rate was 76.3%, with a week-on-week decrease of 1.2% but growth of 1.6% year on year.

As of July 6, the adjusted year-to-date output of the US’ crude steel was around 45.57 million net tons, decreasing by 2.7% year on year. In terms of the capacity utilization rate, it was 76.4%, decreasing by 1.3% year on year.
