US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo said that the US expected to soon have talks with Japan and the UK on steel and aluminum tariffs, to solve their objections on this issue, on the premise of protecting the US industry.

Raimondo planned to have her first official visit to Asia from November 15-18, having a meeting with government officials and business leaders in Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia.

Raimondo said that the visit will be mainly focused on commencing the work towards Biden’s ideal economic framework for the region.
