US’ HRC exports rise in Mar

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 73,300 tons of hot-rolled coils (HRC) in March this year, decreasing by 4% compared to the previous month and rising by 9% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 55,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 2.4% and a year-on-year hike of 38.8%. Canada ranked second with around 18,500 tons, and the exports to other countries were less than 1,000 tons.

During the period, the export value was nearly US$69 million, down by 1% month on month and up by 9.4% year on year.
