US makes final AD & CVD final ruling on China’s disposable aluminum containers

The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) made a final affirmative determination of anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duties (CVD) on disposable aluminum containers, pans, trays, and lids (disposable aluminum containers) from China.

The USDOC confirmed that the subject products from China are being, or are likely to be, sold at prices lower than fair value in the US during the investigation period from October 1, 2023, through March 31, 2024. Besides, the department also determined that countervailable subsidies are being provided to Chinese producers and exporters of these products during the period from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023.

The dumping margin is set at 193.90% for specific producers and exporters and 287.80% for other Chinese companies, and the subsidy rate is 317.85%.

The products involved are under HTSUS subheading 7615.10.7125, and they may be under HTSUS subheadings 7612.90.1090, 7615.10.3015, 7615.10.3025, 7615.10.7130, 7615.10.7155, 7615.10.7180, 7615.10.9100, and 8309.90.0000.
