US’ primary aluminum production falls in Sep

According to statistics from the US Geological Survey, the US produced 61,000 tons of primary aluminum this September, decreasing by 15.3% compared to the same month in 2021. The daily average output was 2,020 tons, a year-on-year decline of 15.5%.

During the reporting period, the aluminum output recycled from aluminum scrap was 280,000 tons, falling by 5.1% month on month and up by 2.9% year on year. Among them, 152,000 tons were recycled from new aluminum scrap and 128,000 tons were from old aluminum scrap.
