US’ steel coils exports rise in Nov 2023

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 28,000 tons of steel coils in November last year, increasing by 22% compared to the previous month and falling by 4.6% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 19,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 27.2% and a year-on-year hike of 5.7%. Canada ranked second with around 8,900 tons, and the exports to other countries were not so many.

The export value was approximately US$28 million during the period, up by 22.4% month on month and down by 8.4% year on year.
