Mineração Usiminas (MUSA), a joint venture between Brazil's steelmaker Usiminas and Japan's Sumitomo, has reached a new milestone in iron ore production, with annual iron ore output exceeding 9 million tons in 2021.

In order to meet the increasing demand for iron ore in the domestic and international markets, MUSA has continued to expand its production scale and started using a new iron ore storage system from December 26, 2021, including a dry stacking system, storage system, and beneficiation system.
