Vedanta's Q3 aluminum production falls

India’s mining giant Vedanta reported that the company’s aluminum production totaled 566,000 tons in the third quarter of this fiscal year, dropping by 2% from 579,000 tons in the same period a year ago.

At the same time, due to the maintenance of calciners, the output of alumina at the Lanjigarh refinery fell to 443,000 tons, a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 2% and a year-on-year drop of 6%.
