According to the third-quarter fiscal report published by the Spanish stainless steel group Acerinox, in the first nine months of 2025, Acerinox's melting production reached 1.463 million tons, an increase of 8% compared with the same period of the previous year, as the strike of Acerinox Europa in the same period of last year had influenced the production.

The company admitted that the demand in the market is still weak and cheap imported steel continues to threaten its business in Europe. However, due to the upcoming Carbon Border
Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), which will be effective from the first day of 2026, the company feels quite optimistic about the future of the European market.
