Due to the difficult economic and security situation, PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (AMKR) plans to operate one blast furnace in the first quarter of 2025. AMKR's steelmaking capacity was able to return to 50% in the middle of the year, but currently, it is only 30%. The company expects to produce 1.6 million tons of steel products by the end of this year, as well as 650-700 thousand tons of iron ore concentrate with 65% iron content per month.

With high electricity prices and infrastructure damage, AMKR 's projected production for 2025 has decreased, and it can only operate one blast furnace. The company plans to restart two blast furnaces by the second quarter of 2025 and expects to produce 2.5-2.6 million tons of steel products annually.
