According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of China, China’s imports of aluminum ore and its concentrate totaled roughly 15 million tons in December last year, a year-on-year increase of 26.6%. Alumina exports totaled 190,000 tons, growing by nearly 45% year on year.
In the whole year of 2024, China’s imports of aluminum ore and its concentrate amounted to 158.8 million tons, growing by 12.4% compared to the previous year. Alumina exports reached approximately 1.8 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 42.7%.
