China’s HRC, CRC production slides in Oct

According to statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of China, China produced around 17 million tons of hot-rolled coil (HRC) this October, falling by 1.2% compared to the same month a year ago. The output of cold-rolled coil (CRC) was around 4.2 million tons during the period, a year-on-year drop of 0.7%.

In the first ten months of this year, China’s HRC output amounted to approximately 178 million tons, increasing by 2% year on year. The production of CRC in the given period was up by 5.5% year on year to 39.5 million tons.
