US’ hot-rolled bar exports fall in Sep

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 29,000 tons of hot-rolled bars in September, reflecting a 13.5% decline from the preceding month and a 9% decrease compared to the same month of the previous year.

The leading destination for US hot rolled bar exports in September was Mexico, which received roughly 15,900 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 17.8% and a year-on-year drop of 19%. Canada was the second-largest recipient, importing roughly 9,500 tons.

In September, these exports were valued at approximately US$48 million, down by 8% month on month and by 12% year on year.
