China’s Longding Aluminum launches second phase of battery foil project

China’s Luoyang Longding Aluminum Industries Co., Ltd. (Longding Aluminum) officially initiated construction for the second phase of its battery foil project on November 10, aiming to significantly increase the company's core product capacity and competitiveness within the new energy market.
The second-phase project is designed for an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons. It includes the installation of six advanced aluminum foil rolling mills and corresponding casting and rolling production lines, focusing on the development and manufacture of high-performance power battery foil.
The chairman said that the project is a critical part of the company’s strategic planning, intended to strengthen its market position in the new energy materials sector.
