Chinese main steel manufacturers’ steel products output increases in middle Jan compared to early Jan

According to data from the China Iron and Steel Association, in the middle of January, the daily average pig iron output from China’s main steel manufacturers totaled about 1.89 million tons, increasing by 4.95% compared to early January and growing by 6.2% year on year. Meanwhile, the daily average crude steel and steel products’ production amounted to about 2.09 million tons and 2.03 million tons, increasing by 3.7% and 6.54% from early January, respectively.

Regarding steel inventories in the middle of January, they increased by 6.67% from early January but fell by 4.45% from the same period of last year to about 15.35 million tons.
