Global primary aluminum production goes up in Aug

According to statistics from the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), global primary aluminum production totaled 6.179 million tons in August, growing by 1.2% compared to the same month a year ago.
In the month, the global average daily output of primary aluminum was 199,300 tons, compared to 199,500 tons in the previous month and 197,000 tons in August last year.
The estimated output of China's primary aluminum was 3.69 million tons in August, down by 1.3% year on year. Production in other regions of Asia increased by 3% to 408,000 tons.
