Hydro's Albras plant shuts down 25% capacity due to power failure

According to an official announcement from Hydro on February 19, due to the internal power distribution failure, Hydro’s aluminum plant Albras in northern Brazil shut down one of the four production lines.

Albras’ total annual production capacity is 460,000 tons. The affected production this time is 110,000 tons of liquid aluminum. The remaining three production lines are weren’t affected and are running normally.

Hydro owns 51% of the Albras plant and the rest is owned by Japan's Nippon Amazon Aluminium Co., Ltd. (NAAC).
