Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe joined the construction of an offshore wind farm in Normandy, located in the English Channel. The company announced it has shipped nearly 250 tons of steel pipes to a Spanish client for the project, which will feature 62 wind turbines near the communes of Le Tréport and Dieppe. Interpipe’s pipes form the foundation for boat mooring platforms on each turbine, with diameters ranging from 101.6 mm to 419.1 mm.

Pipe sales manager Jorge Ruiz highlighted the company’s experience in supplying products for geothermal and wind power plants. He noted that the seamless pipes, made of steel grade E355+N/S355NH and produced under EN 10297/EN 10210 standards, meet strict requirements for mechanical properties and chemical composition to withstand harsh seawater conditions. Construction began in January 2024 and is scheduled for completion by late 2026, with the wind farm expected to supply renewable electricity to over 850,000 people.
