It was reported that the London Metal Exchange (LME) is planning to introduce new contracts for low-carbon emissions aluminum and aluminum scrap.

The contracts for low-carbon emissions aluminum can help manufacturers achieve sustainable development goals and not to rely too much on primary aluminum imports from China. The contracts for aluminum scrap can also meet sustainability because aluminum can be recycled well.

Aluminum recycling has viewed an energy-saving technique since this metal can save up to 95% energy compared to the production process from mining to finished aluminum products.
