North American aluminum demand grows in Q1-Q3

According to data from the US Aluminum Association, as of the third quarter of this year, the demand for aluminum from North American countries, including the US and Canada, grew by 6.3% year on year to 21 billion pounds.

In the third quarter alone, North American aluminum demand dropped by 2.1% quarter on quarter but hiked by 7% year on year, reaching 7 billion pounds.

Charles Johnson, the president and CEO of the Aluminum Association, said that North American aluminum is among the cleanest aluminum in the world. While striving for a more energy-efficient future, North American aluminum will continue to provide innovative solutions and competitive advantages for businesses and consumers.
