Russian stainless steel production increases in Jan-Nov 2022

According to statistics from the Russian Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), Russia's stainless steel production increased to around 235,000 tons from January to November 2022 with a year-on-year increase of 17.5%.

Among them, the output in November was 22,000 tons with a year-on-year increase of 13.7% and a month-on-month hike of 0.3%. In October, stainless steel output increased by 16% year on year to 21,900 tons, and it was 21,400 tons in September, up by 7.2% year on year.

In terms of imports, Russia's stainless steel imports slid by 3.5% year on year to 5,800 tons in the first 11 months of this year, due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
