Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, the Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs of South Africa, announced that the National State of Disaster on COVID-19 has been extended for another month until April 15.

The decision took into account the requirement to continue to expand existing legislation and contingency arrangements adopted by state agencies in order to solve the impact of the disaster.

South Africa has been blocked for five months since President Ramaphosa first declared a state of disaster last March.
