Taiwan's leading stainless steel mills will announce the new prices for October soon. Recently, LME nickel futures and spot prices increased close to US$16,700/ton, but the average price is lower compared to last month. Meanwhile, the Taiwanese dollar depreciated in the past couple of weeks.

Mills might have difficulty hiking the prices due to the demand not being good. As a result, it is expected that mills might maintain the price in order to stabilize the price in the market. Mills might also adopt individual negotiation prices, as in previous months.
