According to Taiwan Customs statistics, Taiwan’s welded steel pipe exports experienced a sharp downturn in October 2025, reaching only 5,803 tons, plummeting by 82% compared to the previous month.

The drop was largely due to the US market, with exports to the US falling by 96% from September’s volume of 24,790 tons to only 941 tons in October. Other key destinations in October included Australia (1,063 tons) and Thailand (891 tons).

In terms of imports, the volume had a month-on-month decrease of 7% to 31,530 tons. India was the largest source, supplying about 26,800 tons.
