Toyo Seikan Group Holdings, Ltd., a Japanese packaging container manufacturing company, signed a business alliance agreement with integrated aluminum manufacturer UACJ Corporation, to jointly study the way to further promote the horizontal recycling of aluminum cans.

Both companies will consider a collaboration to improve the collection and recycling of aluminum cans across the value chain, in order to promote the "CAN to CAN" horizontal aluminum can recycling.

Carbon dioxide emissions from recycled aluminum ingots are only 3% of those from new ingots. Therefore, raising aluminum recycling rates will greatly reduce carbon emissions.
