Nippon Steel Stainless Steel raises pipe prices from Feb

Japan’s Nippon Steel Stainless Steel Pipe announced a price hike of 5% in the prices of all stainless steel welded pipe products from February. Besides, the surcharge of high corrosion-resistant molybdenum steel was raised by more than 15% due to surging molybdenum prices.

Nippon Steel Stainless Steel Pipe said the continuously rising price of stainless steel coils, raw materials of stainless steel pipes, and higher energy costs will support the price of stainless steel welded pipes.

In order to maintain a stable supply with enough profits, the company decided to hike the prices of its products due to rising raw material prices.
