US issues more energy pipelines import licenses than expectation in May

According to Preston Pipe, a market research and consulting firm dedicated to the steel tube and pipe industry, the import of almost all kinds of energy tubes in the US was increasing in May.

From the number of issued import licenses, oil tubes increased most and other pipes like line pipes and stainless steel tubes also increased some. Oil tubes increase by about 23.7% and the total quantity of other pipes was expected to overpass that in April before the end of May.

Preston Pipe said the figures in the following two months will show the impacts by the COVID-19 epidemic.
