US’ section beam exports grow slightly in Sep

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), in September this year, the US exported around 34,400 tons of section beams, including U, I, H, L, and T section steels, falling by 14% compared to the previous month but hiking slightly by 0.5% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the exports to Canada accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 22,300 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 12.8% and a year-on-year drop of 22.4%. Mexico ranked second with around 10,700 tons.

During the period, the export value totaled roughly US$50 million, down by 15.2% month on month and up by 7.8% year on year.
