Vale S.A. plans to increase production of copper & nickel

According to the report, Brazilian mining company Vale S.A. is expected to invest around US$3.3 billion in expanding copper and nickel production and lowering costs. Before that, Vale S.A. established the Vale Base Metals plan to increase the aforementioned materials in December 2022. Some market participants indicated that the existing equipment investment project will achieve the previous production goal.

Vale S.A. planned to organize mining mountains again in order to improve production capacity for nickel and copper, and they attempted to expand the annual production capacity to around 500,000 tons in 2028.
